French footballer and Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Yazid Zidane, was roped in as a brand ambassador by realty developer Kanakia Spaces to promote its Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex project.

The residential project, Kanakia Paris, which aims to recreate a Persian experience for customers, offers 2BHK, 3BHK flats starting at Rs 3.7 crore. 

According to the reports, this is for the first time Zidane has been involved in an Indian project, directly. Apart from being the promoter of the project, he will also be involved in the consulting process. 

Professional Management Group, a leading sports marketing company, helped Kanakia sign on Zidane. 

Speaking to The Economic Times, Himanshu Kanakia, MD of Kanakia Spaces, said that the construction of the project is moving at a fast pace and the possession is scheduled for 2018. The company has already sold around 30% of the apartments, and with the French footballer's association, the sales are likely to improve further.

Kankaria Spaces has also roped in Olivier Vecchierini from Paris, an architect, to design certain aspects, including some interiors for the project, said the report.
