However, subscribers who recharged their Jio numbers for over Rs 300 (Rs 309, 509, 999, etc) are in a rude shock if their data packs are already over.

For example, a Rs 999 recharge for 4G on Reliance Jio meant that under its Summer Surprise Offer, a customer could get 100 GB of data for a three month period.

However, if 100 GB data gets over within these 84 day period (Jio's each month is 28 days), then the customer will have no option but to buy a booster pack.

Jio, at the moment, does not allow customers to buy a new recharge plan if the previous one gets over with days to spare on their plans.

A Jio customer care executive Zeebiz spoke to confirmed this.

The executive said that a customer will have to rely on booster packs to acces 4G data in case their quota of data gets over before the end of their plan cycle.

Currently, there are two booster packs available, one, Rs 51 that gets 1 Gb data and second, Rs 301 booster pack that gets a customer 6 GB of 4G data.

Prime members, for Rs 309 (Only for the first time) get 84 GB of 4G data for 84 days.
