Chinese tech giant Xiaomi today announced that it has shipped over 100 million smartphones in India in five years. The company has achieved this milestone in the period starting Q3 2014 until July 2019, as per IDC 2019 reports. This feat makes Xiaomi one of the fastest brands to achieve this mark, and the Redmi A and the Redmi Note series have been two most popular smartphone series to have contributed in this achievement, said a company statement.

In India, Xiaomi has been the leading smartphone brand for eight consecutive quarters, with a 28.31% market share for Q2 2019 as per IDC report. Redmi 6A and Redmi Note 7 Pro were the top two best-selling smartphones in the industry for Q2 2019.
