Prepaid customers of Idea can enjoy 2GB data in 3G/4G network per day with new Rs 249 pack for a validity period of 28 days. Also, the pack has unlimited voice calls including roaming, along with free SMS benefits. With Idea is giving a total of 56GB data for the entire period.

However, there are a few pointers one needs to remember while using the Rs 249 pack of Idea. A person can only make 250 minutes per day voice calls - totalling up to 1,000 minutes per week. Also, the pack is available for select customers, but it is expected to be rolled out for all soon.

Idea’s new pack comes within days of Airtel having launched a similar rate recharge plan for prepaid customers to take on Reliance Jio during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 season.

Airtel’s Rs 249 prepaid pack also offers 2GB per day in 3G/4G internet for validity period of 28 days. Airtel also offers unlimited voice calls in both local and roamings, along with 100 SMS free per day.

Well, once again Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has outpaced these two telco giants, because it provides the similar offer but at a lower tariff rate than what Airtel and Idea are offering.

For prepaid customers, Reliance Jio has rolled out Rs 198 pack where it is offering 2GB data per day in 4G network for a period of 28 days. The total data of RJio is also 56GB. The pack also has unlimited calls, alongside 100 SMS free per day. Apart from this a complimentary subscription to Jio apps is also given to the customers.

Therefore, no matter how hard Idea and Airtel try to overtake Reliance Jio - the company has managed to walk a step ahead. Thus, before opting for the Rs 249 plan, you might want to compare all the three companies to avail best deals.
