Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday said that it sold 1,65,346 vehicles in July 2017 as against the same month of last year registering a growth of 20.6%. The company said that its utility vehicles like Vitara Brezza, S-Cross, Ertiga and Gypsy sales jumped 48.3% in the given period.

Maruti Suzuki said that its sales in the domestic market stood at 1,54,001 units while it exported 11,345 vehicles. 

The company said that sales of its mini segment that includes Alto and Wagon-R stood at 42,310 units as against 35,051 vehicles thereby growing at 20.7%. 

Compact cars like Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Ignis Baleno and Dzire sales were up 25.3%, at 63,116 units. 

Maruti Suzuki said that it sold 6,377 units of Ciaz as against 5,162 units in July 2016. 

The total domestic passenger vehicle sales rose 21.9%, the company said. 

Shares of Maruti Suzuki were trading higher by 0.43% at NSE while on BSE they were at Rs 7,839 per piece at 10.19 am.
