"The fee is payable only if the customer is accommodated on an earlier flight, which will be confirmed one hour before the flight’s scheduled departure", the airline said.

Further, a source mentioned that the offer is applicable for all flights across Vistara's route network and available for passengers travelling in all the three cabin classes.

As per the source, the FlyEarly fee will be completely waived off for the customers buying tickets on Vistara's Flex Fares, who can take an earlier flight within four hours without paying any fees.

Since its launch, Vistara, jointly owned by the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, is still battling with other low-budget airlines to gain the market share.

Low-budget carriers like Indigo and GoAir have recently slashed the prices for last minute bookings.

On Monday, Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer of Vistara said that the airline does not believe in providing last minute low airfares.

Slamming IndiGo and GoAir, Kapoor said that the strategy of offering low airfares is "unsustainable". He tweeted, "Unbelievable all-in fares day before flight! Simply crazy low fares on offer, unsustainable".

For Mumbai-Delhi flights, IndiGo, GoAir and Air India were offering fares starting at around Rs 3000, showed Kapoor's tweet. Answering the queries on same, Kapoor said that Vistara had always offered discounts for advance purchase and not on last minute fares.
