Videocon Industries on Sunday reported a Standalone net loss of Rs 286.6 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, 2016.

In a regulatory filing, the company said that it had posted a net profit of Rs 10.5 crore in the quarter ended on June 30, 2015. 

The total income decreased from Rs 3309.7 crore in Q1FY16 to Rs 2897.1 crore in Q1FY17.

The total expenses were reduced to Rs 2658.61 crore in June 2016 from Rs 2704.93 crore in June 2015, the company said in the filing.

In the consumer electronics and home appliances segment, Videocon registered revenues of Rs 2,671.87 crore in Q1FY17 as against Rs 2,885.08 crore during the same period a year ago.

Revenues from crude oil and natural gas stood at Rs. 128.70 crore as compared to Rs. 230.03 crore Q1FY16. From power, the revenues were Rs 3.91 crore as against to Rs. 3.99 crore in Q1FY16.

On Friday, the shares of the company closed at Rs 103.85 per piece, or 0.05% down.
