Hindustan Unilever parent the anglo dutch company Unilever on Tuesday said that its has signed an agreement to acquire BlueAir - leading supplier of air purification technologies and solutions.

On this development, Nitin Paranipe, President of Unilever's Home care business said,"We are delighted to be adding BlueAir to our Home Care portfolio. The Blueair brand and products are widely known and represent exceptional quality and design, as well as superior capacity and performance. Blueair was founded on the belief that business should be a force for good in society and , which is shared by Unilever."

BlueAir is leading player in the premium category of air purifiers in markets like China, US, Japan, South Korea and India. 

Partnering with Unilever, Bengt Rittri found of BlueAir said," We are saying yes to leveraging the support of Unilever which will enable BlueAir take the next step to allow more people to take action to create safe indoors havens for themselves and loved ones." 

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction was subject to customary regulatory and other approvals. 

After its parent deal, Hindustan Unilever was trading at Rs 923.20 up by Rs 2 or 0.17%.
