IndiGo passengers may face trouble in booking tickets on September 16, as the airline’s system will be undergoing an upgradation. The airline has launched a cautionary notification for its customers indicating that their system will be shut down for a massive nine and half hours.

IndiGo says, “Our systems will be undergoing an upgrade to provide improved customer experience on 16 September between 0000hrs and 0930hrs IST.” The 0000 hrs would mean starting from midnight 12AM till morning 9.30AM of September 16. 

During the upgradation process, Indigo says, “No PNR bookings/ modifications can be done during this period on our website, mobile app, airports or through call centre.”

Below is the full list of services that will be unavailable during the upgrade window, hence IndiGo has encouraged its customers to make necessary amendments in their bookings for a hassle-free experience.

  • View/Change Booking
  • Update Contact Details
  • Web/ Kiosk/ Mobile check-in
  • Seat Selection on website
  • View GST Invoice
  • 6E Login
  • Partner Login
  • Packages
  • Group Booking
  • Car Rental

For the passengers scheduled to travel during the period, IndiGo says, “we recommend you to make changes including cancellations, selection of meal and seat, web check-in and print your boarding pass before the down-time of the system commences.”

However, IndiGo's check-in systems and regular flight operations at all airports will be functional.
