With fast technological advancements, learning new skills and technologies have become necessary for employees to stay relevant in their jobs. Tech Mahindra is reskilling its employees in digital and next-generation technologies such as blockchain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), robotics, automation, and 5G, the company said. It has stitch partnerships with online education partners such as Pluralsight, edX.org, and FutureSkills for the reskilling initiative.

 Tech Mahindra  said that it has also established a Blockchain Centre of Excellence to encourages its employees to develop Blockchain technology solutions. It is also investing in internal programmes such as RIDE to accelerate skilling on next-generation roles. The employees are given self-learning opportunities with various partners.

As part of our TechMNxt charter, we are investing heavily in reskilling employees in next-generation technologies like blockchain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), robotics, automation, and 5G," said Jagdish Mitra, chief strategy officer and head of growth, Tech Mahindra.  

Mitra said that the partnership with NASSCOM has majorly aided the digital transformation journey aimed at reskilling associates in the organisation, to make them ‘Digital Savvy’. The company has targeted at least 50 per cent revenue from digital businesses in the near future.

"Companies today are prepared for the next wave of growth as reskilling, AI, automation, blockchain, and digital solutions emerge as the future drivers of the industry," said Amit Aggarwal, VP & CEO, IT - ITeS Sector Skill Council, NASSCOM. 

Tech Mahindra said that it has also collaborated with various universities across the world such as University of Berkeley, University of Suffolk, University of Sydney and a newly-established Center of Excellence’ (COE) in Canada for unlocking the next wave of digital disruptions by boosting collaborative innovation, research programmes and providing experiential learning opportunities to students.
