Even as Jio GigaFiber broadband services are set be launched in India, other existing broadband players are revising their plans to pad-up their userbase as much as they can. One such existing player, Spectra broadband, has unveiled a new offer, providing up to 43 per cent discounts on its 1Gbps broadband plan, said a TimesNow report.

The Spectra offer is reportedly valid on three plans-- Spectra Fast, Spectra Faster and Spectra Fastest, priced at Rs 899, Rs 1,249, and Rs 1,549 respectively. 

According to the report, the Spectra Fast broadband plan, which comes with 250Mbps of speed and 100GB of monthly data, will be provided with 9 times the data and three months of extra validity if a user seeks yearly subscription. 

The broadband company has also decided to waive off installation charges with the yearly subscription, bringing the effective cost to roughly Rs 719.2 per month, said the report, adding that it will also allow a total of 900GB of data with carry forward facility. All this will make a 43 per cent effective discount on the Spectra Fast broadband plan.

Further, the Spectra Faster broadband plan will come with 500 Mbps download and upload speeds along with 250GB of monthly data, offering 6 months of additional validity as well as no FUP limit. The plan therefore comes effective monthly cost of the Spectra Faster broadband plan to roughly Rs 833 per month. 

Meanwhile, the Spectra Fastest broadband plan is being provided with 1Gbps speed, 750GB of monthly data and 21 months validity at a yearly charge of roughly Rs 21,934, the report added.
