Indian paints industry major Shalimar Paints Ltd. has announced the appointment of C Venugopal as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) on Friday, April 13. He previously held senior positions at Morton Foods Ltd., Umang Diaries Ltd., Nippon Paints India, and Kansai Nerolac Paints.

C Venugopal, Shalimar Paints' Chief Operating Officer: Profile

In its statement, Shalimar Paints said that Venugopal comes to the company with 30 years of business leadership and retail experience and a proven track record of profitability and business growth through strategic thinking, marketing excellence, and operational expertise. 

Before joining Shalimar Paints Ltd., he held major roles at Morton Foods Ltd., Umang Diaries Ltd., Nippon Paints India, and Kansai Nerolac Paints. He has also worked at Godrej Sara Lee, Reckitt Benckiser, CavinKare, Cussons India Pvt Ltd and Pepsi Foods Ltd. 

The company stated that Venugopal is known for his innovative drive, vision, ability to drive transformative change, and widely regarded as a persistent innovator and team motivator.
