Salman Khan, an A-lister Bollywood star, received some relief on Saturday, as the Jodhpur court granted him bail. This happened after the Dabang star spent two nights in the the city's central jail over the blackbuck poaching case. The case which has been dragging for around two decades was once again put on the front burner on Thursday when the actor was sentenced to five years jail term along with Rs 10,000 fine. However, in a court hearing for bail application filed from Salman's end was heard today, and the actor was given relief with the court sanctioning him the bail. The actor is set to walk out of the Jodhpur central jail this evening.

Salman Khan has been asked to file a personal bail bond for Rs 50,000 and produce a Rs 25,000 surety from  two persons each who will guarantee that he will comply with all bail conditions, as per NDTV report. 

In the report, lawyers told that the bail documents would be sent to Jodhpur Central Jail by around 5 pm and he could be released in the next hour or two. But he can't leave the country without the court's permission.

The Bollywood megastar was accused 20 years ago involving the hunting down of two blackbucks in Kankani village of Rajasthan in 1998, during the shoot of 'Hum Saath Saath Hai'.

Salman other 'Hum Saath Saath Hai' co-stars  Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari were also among the accused, however, the co-starts were acquitted on Thursday itself. 

On April 04, Salman faced charges under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act. While his co-stars mentioned above were acquitted under Section 51 read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code, Salman himself was pronounced guilty. A  fifth person named Dushyant Singh -  a local businessman from the area - was also acquitted. 

Notably, for Salman, this is the 4th time he has been sent to Jodhpur Jail. In all, he has spent 18 days there - in 1998, 2006 and 2007. To this can be added another 2 days now.

This comes as a major relief for the films which are expected to come this year, as the jail hampered the shooting. Salman has been churning out blockbusters for decades now. Tiger Zinda Hai box office collection was Rs 339 crore in India alone. The projects that Salman Khan is currently involved in are movies Race 3, Bharat, Dabangg 3 and Kick 2 and Dus Ka Dum TV show.

The entire project of Salman this year were pegged at over Rs 500 crore. In fact, some reports have pushed this figure up to anything between Rs 800 cr to Rs 1000 cr! 

Meanwhile, these films have now seen green signal with Salman posting bail. Not only Bollywood insiders but also fans have displayed their happiness on their Twitter accounts today. 

A RaceThisEid having twitter account named @SalmansSoldier said, "These are not hired people by any politicians or any samaj they are Salman Khan devotees always with him through thick and thins WE LOVE SALMAN KHAN."

Meanwhile singer Ankit Tiwari said, "You are a real winner @BeingSalmanKhan Happy after the verdict... #WeSupportSalmanKhan."

Actor Aftab Shivdasani on his official twitter account said, "So happy for @BeingSalmanKhan finally, much deserved relief for him and his family. Can’t keep a good man down for long. Hope justice prevails in the case as i have full faith in the judicial system.  #WeLoveYouSalmanKhan."

Another actor Sonu Sood said, "“A Good deed is the best Prayer”. Welcome brother  @BeingSalmanKhan . #WeSupportSalmanKhan."

Bollywood Producer and Director Shubash Ghai tweeted saying,"Thanx God  देर हैं अंधेर नहीं। Good deeds will always pay @BeingSalmanKhan a full justice finally. He has already been punished mentally for 20 years for his big mistakes n  still waiting for justice. God bless u salman @beinghuman."

When Salman was sent to jail, the Pakistan's former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar on his twitter account said, "Really Sad to see my friend Salman khan sentenced for 5 year But the Law must take its course & we got to respect the decision of honourable court of India but i still think punishment is to harsh but my heart goes to his family & fans .. Am sure he will out soon .."

The next hearing for Salman and blackbuck case is scheduled on May 7. However as per Economic Times, Rampal Bhawad, President, Bishoni Tiger Force said that they will challenge the bail order. Well what happen's next in the case, we will have to wait and watch.
