Tata Docomo has also priced the new prepaid plan at Rs 49. According to BGR, the plan offers a talk time of Rs 25 and 1GB of 2G/3G data for 30 days. The local and national outgoing calls will be charged 1 paisa per 2 seconds.

On the other hand, Reliance Jio's Rs 49 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 28 days and offers 1GB of 4G data. You can continue with unlimited internet even when the free data limit is breached but at the reduced speed of 64 Kbps.

The Reliance Jio plan offers unlimited local and national calling without any FUP and 50 complimentary SMS.

However, if you compare both the plans, Jio has an upper hand in terms of calling benefits while Docomo wins in case of the plan validity period. The taker of the plan may enjoy access to Jio app suite. While the Docomo prepaid plan is for all the users, the Reliance Jio Rs 49 prepaid plan is available for only JioPhone users.

Tata Docomo also offers a Rs 88 prepaid plan with unlimited voice calling benefit. The plan comes with 28 days validity. However, the unlimited calling under the plan has been capped at 250 minutes daily. Crossing the daily call limit, you will be charged at 30 paise per minute for your calls. This plan also gives 100 free SMS daily.
