Reliance Jio's Prime offer may have ended in April but is there a way for subscribers to still avail that offer and get added benefits over their regular telecom plans?

The telecom operator has stretched the deadline of its Prime membership enrolment beyond the first stipulated March 31 limit.

“Customers who could not enrol for JIO PRIME by 31st March for whatever reason can still do so by paying Rs 99 along with their first purchase of Jio’s Rs 303 and other plans till 15th April,” MD Reliance Industries Ltd, Mukesh Ambani said in a letter dated March 31.

Jio pushes for Prime

Despite Reliance Jio stressing that the date to enroll for the Prime membership was over, it still has kept this option open to its subscribers.

Zeebiz sent an email to the company asking it to clarify if Prime membership was still open to its customers and how was this still made available. The company did not respond to the queries, however, an official citing anonymity said that the Prime membership was still available for those who made a recharge of Rs 99 upon subscription to any available postpaid or prepaid plan.

“Payment of Rs 99 (inclusive of applicable taxes) will entitle enrolment to Jio Prime membership as a Jio Prime Member, with subscription for the period 1 st April 2017 to 31st March 2018. All customers will have the option to book Jio Prime membership upon subscription to any available Prepaid or Postpaid plan and payment of Rs 99,” terms and conditions under Jio Prime membership reads.
