‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ offer rolled out by Jio on Tuesday tweaked its plans to include Rs 309 and Rs 509 which would offer 84GB and 168GB respectively to customers for another three months.

While the company made it clear that those who have already availed of its Summer Surprise offer, which now stands cancelled, customers will not be able to avail of this new offer and Dhan Dhana Dhan will be available on customers’ first recharge only.

You can still avail Prime under Dhan Dhana Dhan, says Reliance Jio

Post Jio’s announcement of its new plans, telecom major – Bharti Airtel on Tuesday said that these plans were just an example of ‘old wine in new bottle.’

“We are surprised to see what Jio is doing. It violates the spirit of the Trai directive and essentially continues with a similar plan now masquerading under a different name,” a report by Economic Times quoted Airtel on Tuesday.

Jio has kept the option of customers opting for Jio Prime open by paying the one-time payment of Rs 99 with their first recharge on Jio.

“Considering the special benefits that are available to Jio Prime members, customers who were unable to subscribe to Jio Prime for any reason, can continue to do so by paying Rs 408 or Rs 608 (Jio Prime + recharge price) to avail these benefits,” Jio said.

The company further added, “These plans will be available starting today. Existing Jio customers who have not done their first recharge so far, need to do so by 15 April 2017 to avoid degradation and/or discontinuation of services.”
