Mercedes-Benz on Wednesday launched the new GLA facelift in India priced at Rs 30.65 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi).

The company launched four variants of the car and while the 200d Style variant is priced at Rs 30.65 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi), the GLA 200 Sport variant is priced at Rs 32.20 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi), the GLA 200d Sport is priced at Rs 33.85 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) and GLA 220d 4Matic variant is priced at Rs 36.75 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).

Mercedes-Benz has launched seven products in India this year. In June, the company had launched the Mercedes-Benz E220d, AMG GLS 63 and AMG G63 'Edition 463'.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLA will have the same engine as the one in the previous version. It has a 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol engines that will dish out power of 156hp in the GLA 200 to 183PS. The diesel variant comes with a 2.2-litre engine that produces 167BHP and 350Nm torque and is mated with the 7G DTC.

The new GLA has updated features in its design like the LED High Performance tail lights with a multi-level function. The brake lights and indicators are controlled in three intensities.

In terms of its features the instrument panel has received a makeover and the electric seat controls and centre console storage compartment surrounding gets a chrome finish.

Besides this, a new Yellow Night Edition model of the GLA has also been introduced which sports black exterior paint, yellow highlights and alloy wheels of the same colour scheme.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLA will go up against the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 in India.
