Luxury vehicle manufacturer Lexus has opened its first dealership in Mumbai, according to Team BHP report.

According to the report, the luxury vehicle maker of Japanese car maker Toyota has opened its new store at Taj Santacruz near the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport's domestic terminal in the city.

The company has entered into the Indian car market in March this year with the introduction of three models ES 300h, LX 450 d and RX 450h.

However, only two products namely ES 300h and RX 450h will be available into the Indian market at present, cited the Team BHP report.

Lexus will further expand its dealerships into the country by opening it stores in New Delhi, Gurgaon and Bengaluru. The after sales services of Lexus cars will be available in Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.

According to Financial Express report, all the Lexus models will be brought in India via Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) route. 

The ES 300h is a hybrid sedan and is priced at Rs 55 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The sedan is powered by a 2.5 litre DOHC VVT petrol engine and is combined to an electric motor.The unit produces a combined 158 hp of power and 212 Nm of torque and the engine is paired to a CVT transmission. 

As far as RX 450h is concerned, it will come in two variants, namely RX Luxury and RX F Sport into the country. The sports utility vehicle (SUV) is powered by a 3.5 litre, V6 petrol engine with a hybrid motor that generates a combined  power of 308 hp and is paired to an e-CVT gearbox.
