JSW Steel, on Friday, said that it produced 1.35 million tonne steel in the month of August 2016, its highest ever in any given month.

The company said that crude steel production for the given month jumped 27% from 1.06 million tonne in the same month of last year. 

Production of flat and long steel jumped 15% and 24% at 9,71,000 tonne and 2,51,000 tonne, respectively. 

The company has a total installed steel making capacity of 18 million tonne per annum. 

Share price of JSW Steel was trading at a loss of 1.53% and 1.22% on NSE and BSE, respectively at 10.44 am on Friday.
