Hartek Group's power and renewables infrastructure arm Hartek Power has received an EPC contract worth Rs 474 crore for the development of a 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan, the company informed through a statement.

The turnkey order is awarded by a prominent global renewables independent power producer, the company said.

The project comprises the construction of a large 300 MW ground-mount solar PV power facility spanning 1209 acres in Rajasthan. This massive undertaking not only improves the state's energy infrastructure, but it also precisely matches India's long-term energy goals, as defined in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy's (MNRE) visionary plan.

Most recently, in the energy sector, renewable energy producer Juniper Green Energy on Tuesday (April 9) said it has commissioned the 105-MW Jalkot Solar Power Project, in Maharashtra. The project has been commissioned in record time, almost nine months before the scheduled commercial operation date of the project.

Last month, Alpex Solar bagged two orders worth Rs 43.70 crore for solar water pumps in Haryana under the PM-KUSUM scheme (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan).
