Godrej Consumer Products registered satisfying earnings during the July-September quarter of the financial year 2021-22 (Q2FY22). The company reported a marginal growth in the topline and bottomline. However, the operating margins witnessed pressure during the quarter.

The consumer products company’s profit grew 4.6 per cent to Rs 479 crore as compared to Rs 458 crore in the same quarter a year-ago period. While its revenue surged 8.5 per cent to Rs 3163.6 crore as against Rs 2915.1 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal. 

Similarly, the EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) slipped by 2 per cent to Rs 659.5 crore in the Q2FY22 versus Rs 673 crore in the Q2FY21 and margins declined by 230 basis points to 20.8 per cent from a 23.1 per cent year-on-year basis.
