Fly GoAir, get 8% discount, but there is a catch! Are you eligible?

Budget carrier GoAir has announced an 8% discount on base fare. However, much to most flyers' disappointment, it is not universally applicable. In fact,GoAir says that only senior citizens are eligible.

Senior Citizen special fare offer is applicable on base fare and is valid for both domestic and international flights. So, even if you are planning a trip for your parents, you can avail the discount. 

GoAir says that passengers above the age of 60 years can avail the benefit of getting the tickets with discount of 8% on base fare. However, those who want to avail the discount and book the tickets will be able to do so only by visiting the company's official website GoAir.in

There is no specified date of travelling mentioned as of now on the official website.

It is mandatory for the passengers claiming booking under this Senior Citizen special fare need to carry a valid photo ID Card (like – Aadhaar card, Senior citizen card, Driving license etc. issued by a Government body) indicating their date of birth, and display it at the time of check-in at the airport.

As the booking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so flyers will have to decide quickly if they want to book a ticket. However, the airline has not stated the number of seats on offer either.

GoAir has completed 13 years of its operations on November 4, 2005 and to celebrate its 13th Birthday, it had launched a discount offer with ticket prices starting Rs 1313.
