Under this initiative to combat Covid-19, Healthians has partnered with Invento, a robotics company, to build a robot - Mitri - that is equipped to screen visitors with interactive questions, capture their temperature and issue passes to those who are fit to enter a premises. This is done by capturing data along with face detection capabilities to identify unfit visitors.

A trial run of the Mitri robot is presently being conducted in Fortis Hospital of Bengaluru to add a potent layer of safety by automatically screening incoming patients/ attendants and issue visitor passes after a thorough interactive session with the visitor, screening of temperature and automatically connecting to a doctor through video call in case of any doubts.

Speaking on the initiative, Deepak Sahni Founder and CEO of Healthians said, “Tech-based solutions have been the core strength of Healthians and we are delighted to have partnered with Invento to bring Healthtech and Robotics together to offer innovative products that would help us fight COVID-19 with much more effectiveness."

"While this first one resolves the visitor screening problem by adding another layer of safety for users, several other product initiatives are in the pipeline that will strengthen our arsenal in fighting against COVID-19," Sahni added.
