Several BSNL plans have been announced by this state-run telecom player over the recent months and weeks in order to stay relevant in the market for users who have been lured away in droves by the Reliance Jio free offers that have been matched by other companies like Bharti Airtel and Vodafone. The going is getting extremely tough for BSNL and its latest data plans will help it get some attention as the schemes on offer are worth taking a look at. Exactly how to benefit can accrue will have to be decided by the user of course. Telcos are looking to provide tailor-made data plans for subscribers and to an extent they are succeeding in grabbing attention. The latest BSNL plans include the Rs 118 prepaid pack, which provides 1GB 3G of 4G data plus unlimited voice calls. This freebie on calls includes roaming, except in Delhi and Mumbai circles. The validity of this BSNL plan is 28 days. Yes, in these times of free offers, BSNL has provided one of its own whereby subscribers will get no-charge access to Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT), but it is valid in Tamil Nadu circle alone.

While the difference is very much evident, but this BSNL offer is expected to rival the Rs 99 Reliance Jio recharge plan that has just been made complimentary for Prime subscribers for free for one more year! Reliance Jio offer includes 2GB 4G data, 300 SMS messages and unlimited voice calls and has 28-day validity period. So, how will this really pan out? The subscribers will have to make an educated guess and go for the one that they think is best for them.

Check out what it said in its statement: "All Jio PRIME members who have subscribed to the exclusive membership benefits till 31st March 2018 will get another year of complimentary PRIME benefits at NO additional fee (LIMITED PERIOD OFFER). However, before picking that, know that BSNL has unveiled other prepaid plans too. These include the Rs 379 offers that provides 4GB of either 3G or 4G data a day, plus an unlimited BSNL-to-BSNL voice calls that can stretch to 30 minutes per day and will last for 30 days. However, it is valid only in Kerala circle alone where it will have a face-off with 2 Reliance Jio offers - Rs 349 and Rs 399. These RJio offers provide 1.5GB 4G data a day and unlimited voice calls and more for a validity period of 70 days and 84 days.
