Starting with BSNL’s Rs 118 plan, under this pack, the company is offering 1GB data in 3G/4G network for a validity period of 28 days. According to NDTV Gadgets 360 report, a customer will also get free access to Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT) and is valid only in the Tamil Nadu circle. Also the offer involves unlimited voice calls including roaming except for Delhi and Mumbai circles.

The similar offer is provided by both RJio and Airtel, however their offers are at much lower rate to what BSNL is offering.

Airtel is offering 1GB data in 3G/4G network at Rs 98 pack, with unlimited voice calls for a period of 28 days, on the other hand, RJio gives 2GB data in 4G network with unlimited voice calls and SMS for the recharge pack of Rs 98. There is one recharge pack of RJio at Rs 49 which gives 1GB data for a validity of 28 days.

Going ahead, BSNL’s second recharge pack of Rs 379 is offering 4GB in 3G/4G data per day and unlimited BSNL-to-BSNL voice calls for a period of 30 days. However, only 30 minutes per day voice call is allowed on the BSNL network in this pack. Also, this offer is only valid in Kerala circles. This offer takes on RJio’s two recharge plan namely Rs 349 and Rs 399 and also Airtel’s Rs 349 pack.

RJio’s Rs 349 and Rs 399 recharge pack both provide 1.5 GB data per day, along with unlimited voice calls, SMS (100 per day) and complimentary subscription. The only difference is the validity period, as the RS 349 pack is valid till 70 days nad Rs 399 for 84 days.

Meanwhile, Airtel’s Rs 349 pack offers 2.5GB per day in 3G/4G network for a validity period of 28 days, along with unlimited local, roaming calls and SMS.

Going ahead, BSNL introduced a Rs 551 prepaid pack exclusively for Kerala circle, where the company gives 1.5GB data per day in the plan, along with free Personalized Ring-Back Tone (PRBT). However, there are no call benefits under this offer, as per Telecom Talk. This one can be compared with RJio’s and Airtel’s Rs 509 recharge plan each.

Where Airtel in Rs 509 pack is giving 1.4GB per day for 90 days along with unlimited calls and SMS, the RJio in the same pack is giving 4GB per day for 28 days, along with unlimited calls and SMS (100 per day).

Thus, BSNL's newly introduced recharge pack are not available in all circles and also have limited offers, whereas RJio continues to hamper the market creating massive data-war. One thing is for sure, BSNL has learned the ways of unlimited internet to customers.

It needs to be noted that, BSNL already has few packs giving unlimited data. There is Rs 444 pack which gives the data and PRBT benefits like Rs 551 pack, albeit with unlimited voice calls and a lower validity of 60 days.

Then there is  Rs 666 pack for Kerela circles,  which was recently revised to offer 1GB 4G data per day, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, for a period of 129 days.

Also, BSNL has  Rs 485 prepaid pack gives customers  with 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day for a period of 90 days.
