With other telecom service providers coming up with new data packs, state-run BSNL has launched a new tariff plan of its own. The plan is for a duration of one year. Under the plan you will get daily 2 GB data or 730GB data for 365 days. The plan also provides benefits such as unlimited voice and 100 SMS daily. The Rs. 1999 plan is set to rival Reliance Jio’s Rs 1,999 plan.

BSNL, a state-run telecom service company, has introduced the plan on promotional basis. The plan's validity is only from June 25, 2018, to September 22, 2018. If we convert the plan then per GB data come at a price of Rs 2.73. The users will also get unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit. According to a Telecom Talk report, in Delhi and Mumbai circles the free calling will not be applicable. The state-run telecom service provider is not operating in these two circles. A user who takes the plan will get 100 SMS per day for the period of 365 days. You are entitled to 36,500 SMSes for one year.

The plan is available only in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles. On the other hand, the game changer in the telecom service market Reliance Jio's Rs 1,999 tariff plan offers benefits for 180 days and provides data of 125GB. The latter's plan is without daily FUP, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls for the duration. However, the plan offers a free subscription to JioTune service, the report said.  Airtel is no longer offering the Rs 1,999 plan.
