As the competition among the telecom service providers intensifies following the launch of Reliance Jio a few years ago, Bharti Airtel has launched a lucrative prepaid plan to grab the market pie. Airtel's Rs 449 prepaid plan provides 140GB data benefit, divided into 2GB data per day for 70 days. Under Rs 449 plan, Reliance Jio is offering 136GB data benefit. The validity period of the Jio plan is 21 days more than Airtel’s Rs 449 plan for 70 days. Airtel's new plan is the addition to its already existing 2GB daily data plans. Airtel already has Rs 249 plan and Rs 499 plans and it is providing 2GB data per day for 28 days and 82 days, respectively, under the plans. Airtel's Rs 449 prepaid plan is valid for every Airtel prepaid customer.

Under the new plan of 140GB for 70 days, per GB data comes at Rs 3.2. Under this plan, as usual, there is no voice calls limit unlike on Idea Cellular and Vodafone. However, SMS benefit is limited to 100 SMS per day.
It also launched 3GB daily plans of Rs 349 and Rs 558 recently.
