Bharti Airtel Q4 results preview, Bharti Airtel Q4 results date: Bharti Airtel — a major private sector operator in India’s highly competitive telecom space — is all set to report its financial results for the quarter ended March 2023 on Tuesday, May 16. Analysts expect the billionaire Sunil Mittal-led telecom company to report a positive set of quarterly earnings, also on account of a low base owing to a one-time loss of Rs 670 crore it incurred in the October-December period. According to Zee Business research, Bharti Airtel is likely to report a net profit of Rs 2,250 crore for the three-month period, which would mean a 41.7 per cent jump compared with the previous quarter.

The analysts peg the telecom firm’s quarterly consolidated revenue at Rs 36,100 crore, marking sequential growth of 0.8 per cent. According to the research, Bharti Airtel is likely to report a 1.4 per cent quarter-on-quarter rise in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and ammortisation (EBITDA) to Rs 18,720 crore. Analysts at Zee Business estimate growth in its Indian and African businesses to stand at three per cent each.  

Investors will look out for the management’s commentary on average revenue per user (ARPU), a key measure of a telecom operator’s profitability which determines the amount of money generated per subscriber. 

According to Zee Business research, Bharti Airtel’s ARPU is estimated to improve by Rs 3 to Rs 196 compared with the previous quarter. Its margin — a key measure of a company’s profitability — is pegged at 51.9 per cent, marking an improvement of 40 basis points over the previous quarter.  

The company is expected to maintain good growth in enterprise and home service units, according to the research.
