Leading telecom service provider Bharti Airtel, on Thursday, announced its purchase of 20 MHz 2300 Band BWA spectrum in Orissa circle  from Aircel Cellular.
 
With this deal, Airtel has now acquired 7 circles (barring Andhra Pradesh) from a total of 8 circles of Aircel. 
 
The seven circles are namely Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Bihar, Jammu Kashmir, West Bengal, Assam, North East and now Orissa.

In April this year, Airtel decided to buy Aircel Cellular's 20 MHz 2300 Band BWA spectrum in eight circles.  

Recently, Bharti Airtel has reported nearly 31% drop in its consolidated net profit to Rs 1,462 crore in Q1FY17 (June quarter, 2016) against Rs 2,113.2 crore in the June, 2015. 

Share price of Bharti Airtel was trading at Rs 347.30, up by Rs 1.10 or 0.32% at 12.34 pm.
