Agro-chemical firm Best Agrolife Ltd on Tuesday reported a sharp jump in its net profit to Rs 15.5 crore for the quarter ended in December.

Its net profit stood at Rs 2.7 crore in the year-ago period.

The company recorded revenue of Rs 232.5 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 56.8 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, the company said in a statement.

Vimal Alawadhi, MD of Best Agrolife, said the performance is expected to be sustainable in Q4, FY22, as the production in newly set up formulation unit will commence.

During the coming quarters, he said the strategic entry in the international business will also open up a new profitable vertical for the company.
