A week after regional carrier Air Pegasus suspended its operations indefinitely, now, Air Costa on Thursday halted its operations for a day due to non-payment of lease, Business Standard reported.

As per the report, spokesperson of Air Costa, another regional carrier, confirmed the news and said that the airline will resume the normal operations from tomorrow. 

The reason behind the suspension of the operations is said to be the non-payment of lease rent. But, the spokesperson said that the company is resolving issues with its leasing company and are in process of re-negotiation.

The company's fleet comprises of the contemporary three E-190. It operates 24 daily flights to nine destinations- Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Tirupati, Vijaywada, Visakhapatnam.

Lastly, the spokesperson said that the company is currently, working to expand its reach by introducing new aircrafts. The company is also in process to get pan-India license from Directorate General of Civil Aviation. He also stressed that there is no issue regarding salaries in Air Costa.
