E-commerce giant, Amazon India will be increasing the price of its exclusive benefits programme – Prime after Monday.

“Last chance to avail Rs 500 discount and enjoy all Prime membership benefits,” Amazon said.

The company is offering its Amazon Prime subscription at an introductory price of Rs 499 a year till October 30.

“The introductory price of Rs 499 for the yearly Prime membership ends on Oct 30, 2017 after which the program will move to the full price of Rs 999 a year,” Amazon added.

Prime subscription of Amazon is available in only 13 countries and gives shoppers benefits and deals unavailable to others.

In its recent festive season sale that began at the end of September and concluded in October with Diwali, Amazon said it witnessed a fourfold jump in Prime subscriptions.

“Customers rushed to buy Prime membership before the special introductory price of Rs 499 ends,” Amazon added.

The company was advertising for “Last chance to join Prime at Rs 499 (instead of Rs 999) a year.”
