The telecom giant Bharti Airtel is quite busy in giving stiff competition to Reliance Jio when it comes to prepaid recharge packs. Airtel has faced sleepless nights due to RJio as this Mukesh Ambani backed company continues to get on the nerves of its rivals with its cheap, unlimited and heavy data offers. The entire telecom system has undergone massive tariff wars since the time RJio entered the market. Continuing to take on RJio, Airtel has now launched a new prepaid recharge pack of Rs 499. Under this pack, Airtel is giving a massive 140GB data for a period of 70 days. Let’s have a look to whether this plan is better than what RJio is offering its customers.

Airtel’s new Rs 499 pack gives you 2GB of data per day in 3G/4G network for the period of 70 days. This comes to overall 140GB data for the time period.

Apart from it, the company is giving unlimited local, STD and national calls. Also 100 local SMS per day.

However, Airtel’s this new plan is still not better than the RJio one in terms of value, data and period.

RJio offers 140GB data for 70 days at a recharge pack of just Rs 398 to its customers. There is a Rs 498 plan of the company which gives a massive 182GB data for a period of 91 days. In between these two plan, RJio also has a Rs 448 recharge pack under the 2GB data daily category offering a total 168GB data for 84 days.

Meanwhile, RJio also offers unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day along with complimentary subscription to Jio apps.
