Looks like telecom giant Bharti Airtel is not going to rest until it takes back the ground it lost to Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Jio. And finally, things may be looking up for Airtel which has been witnessing losses in its books since the time RJio stepped into the telecom market. RJio created disruption with its free offers, unlimited calls and heavy data, which forced Airtel and many other telcos to follow suit. But, Airtel is now looking to outdo RJio with its new recharge packs. And interestingly they have turned out to be better than what RJio is offering. Today, Airtel has launched a new recharge pack of Rs 558 to lure prepaid customers by offering a total of 246GB data for 82 days period. Reliance Jio is nowhere near Airtel's newly introduced pack.

Airtel will give 3GB data per day in 3G/4G network for 82 days. Also there is unlimited local, STD and roaming calls along with 100 SMS per day. There is also up to 100% cash back offers to some customers on Airtel recharges and bill payments.

If we compare the values, RJio has one plan of Rs 509 but under this prepaid recharge, the company is giving 4GB data per day for just 28 days. Overall it provides 112GB data. If we look at

Airtel’s recharge pack we get more data benefit at Rs 558 for more than 2 months.

There is one recharge pack of Rs 299 of RJio where it gives 3GB data per day for just 28 days - which total 84GB data in 4G network for the period.

If we compare RJio’s two recharge pack with Airtel ones, the Sunil Mittal company is giving more data benefits and even higher days, which makes it more affordable.

Recently, Airtel also introduced Rs 149 recharge pack by giving 2GB data benefit per day for one month. The telecom service provider offers voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

The plan works out per GB data at Rs 2.66. It is giving a total 56GB data for 28 days which works out to 2GB data per day.

This once again is better than RJio.

RJio has a Rs 198 pack, which gives 2GB data per day for 28 days. With this RJio is giving 56GB data overall in the period. There is unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day along with complimentary subscription in Jio apps. Airtel is providing same service at a much cheaper rate.
