Airtel has allowed its postpaid users to add new ‘child members’ to the network with ‘Add on Connections’, a report by TelecomTalk said on Tuesday.

Under this scheme, a single Add on Connection for Rs 799 postpaid plan can be availed by a parent and they can add a single person as ‘add on’ to this plan.

The Rs 799 plan also offers customers unlimited local STD and incoming roaming calls. It also offers 3G/ 4G data with a rollover feature for those who do not use their data packs completely. A total of 50GB data is available to customers.

The ‘add on’ or child member will get unlimited voice calls and data benefits will be shared between both users, the report added.

However, Airtel has not specified the fair usage policy for the plan.

More add on connections are available for Airtel’s Rs 1,199 plan. A maximum of two add on connections with all benefits included can be shared between three people under this plan.

The Rs 1,199 plan offers customers similar benefits as the Rs 799 plan only subscribers to this plan will get 75GB 3G/4G data.

Airtel had earlier rolled out a ‘Family Share Scheme,’ where parents could add children at Rs 99 to share Family tariff plans.

Customers to the above mentioned plans also get additional benefits to Airtel apps and Amazon Prime membership for one year.
