Air India offering 50% discount to students, army personnel and senior citizens

Air India on Saturday announced 50% discount for students, army personnel and senior citizens with effect from September 1. 

The airlines on Twitter said, "#AIUpdate: Effective #today avail 50% #discount on #Students along with #ArmedForces #SeniorCitizens."

For Armed forces, the traveller should be active military personnel of India Armed Forces and their family members. For senior citizen, the traveller should be an Indian citizen who has attained the age of 60 years on the date of commencement of journey.

For students, the traveller should be studying in India and of age 12 to 26 years, enrolled for a full time course of at least one academic year at educational estabilishment recognized or affiliated to any Central or State Educational Board or University.

As per the airline, to avail the offer, the discount is available on Basic fare on Air India domestic sectors in Economy Class. The tickets to be purchased at least seven days prior to the date of travel.
