Q4 results LIVE; SBI, ITC, GAIL earnings: State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest lender by assets, reported a quarterly net profit on Thursday that far exceeded analysts' estimates, as India Inc stayed in the last leg of the earnings season. More than 100 corporates are scheduled to report their financial results on May 18, including ITC, GAIL and Interglobe Aviation (IndiGo), Tata Elxsi, PNB Housing Finance, Concor, United Spirits, HCC, Syrma SGS, Divgi Torqtransfer Systems, Clean Science, Gland Pharma, Ujjivan Financial, Bata, RITES and Jet Airways.

  • Tata Elxsi Dividend | Board recommends Rs 60.6/share payout 

    The Tata group company says its board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 60.6 per share — a 606 per cent payout given the face value of Rs 10 per share. 

    The company says the dividend, subject to tax, will be paid on or after the seventh day from the conclusion of the company's 34th Annual General Meeting subject to shareholders' approval.

    According to Zee Business research, the company's quarterly net profit was estimated at Rs 345 crore. 

    Its revenue comes in at Rs 2,170 crore for the March quarter, as against Rs 2,043 crore for the corresponding period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.

    According to Zee Business research, Zydus Lifesciences' quarterly net profit was estimated at Rs 722 crore and revenue at Rs 4,722 crore.

    Analysts expect State Bank of India to report steady asset quality, measured by the percentage of non-performing assets (NPAs) or bad loans in total loans. 

    According to Zee Business research, SBI's gross NPAs are likely to come down to 2.9 per cent from 3.14 per cent and net NPAs to remain unchanged sequentially at 0.77 per cent.

    According to Zee Business research, GAIL is likely to report a standalone net profit of Rs 980 crore for the quarter ended March 2023 as against a net profit of Rs 245.7 crore for the previous three months. Its revenue is estimated to increase 23.5 per cent sequentially to Rs 43,700 crore and margin pegged at 3.6 per cent.

  • ITC Q4 Results Today | Cigarettes-to-hotels conglomerate's PAT seen growing 16%, margin improving by 400 bps 

    According to Zee Business research, ITC is likely to report a 16 per cent increase in standalone net profit to Rs 4,850 crore for the three-month period and revenue growth of five per cent to Rs 16,361 crore compared with the corresponding quarter a year ago.
