Tata Motors and Hyundai have signed a Letter of Award for suppling 250 electric vehicles to Energy Efficiency Services Limited – a joint venture company of PSUs, working under the Ministry of Power.

The news was first broken by Zee Business Executive Editor Swati Khandelwal, the official confirmation on which has come now. Out of these 250 vehicles, 150 vehicles will be provided by Tata Motors while the remaining will be supplied by Hyundai.

 EESL will be procuring these vehicles for all government departments, Khandelwal said adding that even the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) will be inducting these vehicles.

She further said that a few of the Tata Motors vehicles have been delivered in the Ministry of Ayush. This process will go on, she added.

Tata Motors is a biggest beneficiary here, the Executive Editor said.
