Earlier in January this year, the company had indicated about the arrival of Yamaha MT15, and booking for the bike was opened in February, said a RushLane report citing dealers as saying that there was a good response to the bike and inquiry numbers were substantial.

Notably, Yamaha India started the year 2019 with many launches including FZ-FI ABS, FZS-FI ABS, FZ 25 ABS, and Fazer 25 ABS, and now the company is getting ready for the launch of MT15, which will reportedly take place on March 15, at the BIC.

According to the report, Yamaha MT15 would be different from internationally available MT15, as it will come at a cheaper price, besides having some changes. For the test ride and display, bikes have arrived at dealerships in reportedly two colour options of matte blue and Darknight.

Yamaha’s MT15 in India will reportedly follow the ‘The dark side of Japan’ theme, which is also followed by an international version, according to the video teaser.

Further, the report said the new Yamaha MT15 in India flaunts a single cylinder 155 cc engine that is capable of delivering 19.3 PS power and 15 Nm torque via six-speed gearbox, thereby making it the most powerful motorcycle in the segment.
