Volvo Cars on Wednesday launched its latest SUV XC90 in India priced at Rs 1.25 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).

The seven-seater SUV comes with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that is turbo-charged as well as super-charged.

The engine produces a power of 407bhp and 640nm torque.

The centre console features just eight buttons, while most of the space is taken up by an iPad that acts as the control centre for the entire car.

The SUV also includes a 20 speaker premium Bowers & Wilkins audio system.   

It is also the first car to have a radar-based safety system in India.

The company also announced the launch of the XC90 T8, which is a plug-in hybrid variant. This is India's first plug-in hybrid SUV.
