Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd (TPEM) has unveiled its all-electric vehicle – the Punch.ev which is the first product developed on its recently introduced state-of-the-art Pure EV architecture – acti.ev. The SUV include 3 distinct variants – Smart, Adventure, and Empowered. Priced at an introductory rate of Rs 10.99 lakh, the Punch.ev will be available at all Tata Motors showrooms authorized for EV sales and Tata.ev stores nationwide.

The Punch.ev offers two battery pack options - 25 kWh with a MIDC range of 315 km and a 35 kWh variant providing a MIDC range of 421 km. The SUV comes with two e-drive options, featuring powerful electric motors for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 9.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 140 km/h. 

The Punch.ev's battery pack and motor are IP67 rated for protection from dust and water, with a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 km (whichever is earlier).

In addition to its efficient charging options, the Punch.ev LR supports fast charging from 10 per cent to 80% in just 56 minutes using any 50 kW DC fast charger.

Tata Punch EV: Design

Tata Punch EV is equipped with smart lighting systems, a smart charging indicator, bi-functional LEDs, and signature welcome and goodbye lighting elements.

Inside the cabin, the Punch.ev offers a 26cm high-definition infotainment display, a 26cm digital cockpit, and mix of physical and touch controls. The electric vehicle also offers a wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionalities, along with the Arcade.ev app suite for gaming, music, and media.

Connectivity-wise it also has voice assistants like the Native “Hey Tata” assistant, Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant. And it ev incorporates ZConnect Connected Car Technology with smartwatch connectivity as a standard feature.

Tata Punch EV: Safety Features

For safety, the Punch.ev has 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ISOFIX, roll-over mitigation, brake disc wiping, and hydraulic fading compensation. Additional safety features include SOS Calling with E-Call & B-Call, electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, and a 360 surround view camera system with blind spot monitor in high-end trims.

The Punch.ev also offers a range of other features such as wireless charging, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, bolstered ventilated leatherette seats, an electric sunroof, mood lights, and an Air purifier with AQI display. The SUV also offers Paddle Shifters enable 4-level Multi-Mode Regeneration and over-the-air software upgrade capabilities.
