Priced at Rs 5.58 lakh and Rs 6.57 lakh, Tata Motors today launched an anniversary edition of its compact sedan Tigor. The limited edition Tigor Buzz will be available in both petrol and diesel engine variants. It would be equipped with manual transmission and is based on the XT variant, Tata Motors said in a statement.

According to the official statement, the petrol variant is priced at Rs 5.68 lakh and the diesel version is tagged at Rs 6.57 lakh (ex showroom Delhi), inclusive of the accessory kit.

Commenting on the launch, Tata Motors Head Marketing, Sales and Customer Care, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, SN Barman said, "Marking a successful year today, with robust demand since its launch, it (Tigor) has helped us post a month on month growth."
Barman said, "We look forward to the Tigor Buzz to be a step ahead towards extending this growth and customer satisfaction."  

Tata Tigor was launched in March, last year. The car comes with two engine options- a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.0-litre diesel and offers multi-drive modes (Eco and City). The petrol option of the car is also available with automated manual transmission (AMT) option.

The new Tigor Buzz gets a glossy black roof and piano black finish on the mirrors. The car also sports dual-tone wheel covers and red inserts on the front grille.  For the interior, the company has kept it quite similar to that of Tigor XT, the only changes include red accents on the air-con vents and upmarket fabric for the seats.

The engine for the petrol variant is powered with 85hp, 1.2-litre Revotron for petrol and the 70hp, 1.05-litre Revotorq for diesel. Both have mated to the five-speed manual transmission

The safety features the new model include dual airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). It also has Corner Stability Control (CSC) and reverse park assist with a camera.
