Tata Motors has expanded the Nexon compact SUV’s already expansive line-up by adding new AMT variants. The Nexon petrol-AMT range now starts at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the Smart+ trim, while the diesel-AMT versions are now priced starting at Rs 11.80 lakh for the Pure trim. At launch, the most affordable Nexon petrol-AMT was priced at Rs 11.70 lakh, and the entry point to the diesel-AMT range cost Rs 13 lakh (both based on the mid-spec Creative trim).

The base Nexon Smart+ variant is featured with LED Daytime Running Lamps, a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, four speakers, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, drive modes, 6 airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
 
The Pure trim adds features like full-LED headlamps and tail lamps, roof rails, rear AC vents, touch-based HVAC controls, wheel covers, a knitted roof liner, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster, and voice commands. Meanwhile, the Pure S additionally gets a sunroof, auto headlamps and wipers, and an electrochromic rear view mirror.

Tata Nexon AMT powertrain details

The Nexon has a 120hp, 170Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 115hp, 260Nm, 1.5-litre diesel unit. The petrol is available with a 6-speed AMT, a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (with paddle shifters), depending on the variant. The diesel, meanwhile, is available with 6-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.
