Tata Motors has released a monthly sales report for its SUVs and other vehicles from different segments on Tuesday. The carmaker has a wide range of cars in different segments like micro, compact, mid-size, UV 1, UV 2, UV 3 and more. From passenger cars, commercial to heavy duty goods carriers, the automaker manufactures a huge range of vehicles catering to a variety of market segments. Homegrown auto major Tata Motors has reported 14 percent decline in total sales at 49,073 units in June, while the company had sold a total of 56,773 units in the same month last year.

As far as the passenger vehicle sales are concerned the compact segment has remained the highest contributor with total sales of 7,551 units and production of 4,677 units in June 2019. The segment contains cars like Indica, IndiGo CS, Indica Vista, Tiago, Zest, Bolt and Tigor. 

The next top selling segment in the June 2019 was UV 1, that holds cars like Sumo and Nexon. The segment witnessed a sales figure of 4,170 units and production of 3,657 units in the month. Whereas, SUVs like Safari and Harrier, which are categorised in the UV2 segment, notched up sales of 1,377 units with production of 1,318 units. 

The UV3 segment with cars like Aria and Hexa capped a sales figure of 253 units with production of 258 units in June 2019. However the worst performer was the micro segment of the company that holds Tata Nano in the category. There were none/0 units of Nano sold in June 2019, with no production in the month. 

The cumulative sales for the domestic market (April 2019 - June 2019) decline by 20% at 131,879 units as compared to 164,579 units sold over the same period last year. While the PV domestic sales dropped by 27%, at 13,351 units, as compared to 18,213 units sold in June 2018 due to low customer sentiments due to liquidity crunch.
