German sports car manufacturer Porsche launched its new generation 911 Carrera priced at Rs 1.42 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) in India on Wednesday.

This includes four variants from their 911 range which include the 911 Carrera Cabriolet, 911 Carrera S, 911 Turbo and Turbo S.

These new cars were first unveiled by the company at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015 and showcased at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show, according to an Oncars.in report.

The Carrera Cabriolet and Carrera S are powered by a their new 3.0-litre twin­turbo charged flat-six petrol engine. This Carrera Cabriolet can generate 370BHP, while the Carrera S generates 420BHP, said the report.

The two turbo variants on the other hand are powered by a 3.8 litre twin­turbo flat­six engine, which produces 533BHP in the 911 Turbo and 572BHP in the Turbo S.

All the variants of the 911 will be equipped with Porsche's PDK 7­speed automatic gearbox.
