What is the life of a car? Well, tough to call that one as it depends on a lot of external factors. But, the only option you are left with at the end of that period is to sell it and buy a new one. Right? Wrong. According to a report by 'IndianBlueBook', new car sales have slowed down in the recent past and instead, the used car market is growing at a fast pace. In 2018-19, while new car sales were recorded at 3.6 million units, 4 million second-hand cars were bought and sold. Puneet Arora, Founder & CEO of AutoFurnish explains that most people can edit their cars just like photos and make it look less ordinary.

"One can always convert a used car into their own by personalized customizations. You can make it comfortable and clean, pleasing on the eye and make each journey a pleasure," he said. So, here are a few ways how you can customize your ride and save a lot of money.

Modify the Interior

Puneet explains that you can begin the interior journey with seat covers, steering wheels, floor mats, LED floor lights and end it with pedals, gearstick, number plates, fragrances, and the list goes on. You can take help from online platforms to make your job easier.

Paint your car-vas/(canvas)

To make your car look better from the outside, you can re-paint it. "Changing the paint is one of the easiest things you can do to customize your used car. A simple color change or some fun options like racer stripes, flames or other unique designs. One can even try painting particular parts like a door handle, mirror housing or a bumper with electric colors or keep it simple with a matte finish or adding a sunroof won’t hurt either. Such little things leave a bigger impact and get your new paint job done," Arora said.

Get a Sweet Sound System

The last thing you need to get to set the right mood is a good sound system. "Stereo systems can be quite advanced, including touch-screen controls, pre-set channels, surround sounds, auxiliary inputs to hook up your smartphone, and blue tooth to make calls or texts so if there’s one thing to invest in, it’s that," he said.
