How to pay traffic challan online: India’s largest digital payments company Paytm has announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Noida Traffic Police. The new partnership makes your life easier and as now you can pay your challan online through Paytm. The partnership would allow traffic rule violators across Noida to make e-challan payments on their behalf using Paytm web and mobile app - a move that is expected to help both users as well as respective authorities. Paytm believes that the decision will help save a lot of time and effort of users who otherwise have to travel to the designated traffic department centres for their challan payment.

It said that the partnership will also help free traffic department’s resources from challan collection activities and generate greater visibility of challan collections and help the traffic department in streamlining their processes. The service as already been launched in many other cities of the country and has finally come to Noida. 

Here is the list of cities where you can pay challan online through Paytm:

Apart from Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Vijayawada, Nashik And West Godavari are using Paytm's services. Five other states have tie up with Paytm: Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal. With the latest announcement, Uttar Pradesh became the sixth state to enter such partnership.

Speaking about the move, Kiran Vasireddy, COO Paytm thanked the traffic department for extending this service in their region.

"Our digital traffic challan payment feature has received positive reception from our customers since its launch back in 2017. We have successfully processed more than 2 million transactions for all listed traffic bodies till date. The tie-up with Noida traffic department in particular have marked our foray into the Delhi NCR and have added considerable impetus to the initiative. We would like to thank the traffic department for extending this service in their region," he said. 

Paytm claims to have successfully processed 2 Million challan transactions on its platform. With its latest tie-up, it is aiming to process over 3 million transactions by the end of this calendar year.
