This new strategy, outlined for the mid-term spanning fiscal years 2024 to 2026, and further extended to mid-long-term actions until 2030, sets ambitious targets, including an additional 1 million unit sales compared to fiscal year 2023.

On a global scale, Nissan intends to unveil 30 fresh models within the next three years, with 16 being electrified and 14 powered by internal combustion engines (ICE), catering to diverse consumer demands across varying electrification paces in different markets.

Over the period from fiscal year 2024 to 2030, Nissan aims to introduce a total of 34 electrified models across all segments, with electrified vehicle sales projected to constitute 40% of the global mix by fiscal year 2026, increasing to 60% by the decade's end.

In the Indian market, Nissan intends to launch three entirely new models, alongside establishing a significant export hub, targeting a production level of 100,000 units.

The recent launch of 'The Arc' signifies Nissan's commitment to driving value and enhancing competitiveness through its new business plan.

Nissan President and CEO, Makoto Uchida, emphasized the plan's importance in navigating market fluctuations and ensuring sustainable growth and profitability amidst extreme volatility.

Nissan also plans to capitalize on strategic partnerships to maintain competitiveness and provide a diverse global portfolio of products and technology, including continued collaboration with Renault and Mitsubishi Motors in various regions, including Europe, LATAM, ASEAN, and India.

Nissan's operations in India are facilitated through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL), established in 2010, serving both domestic and export markets. Manufacturing is conducted at the Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL) plant in Chennai, with an annual production capacity of 480,000 units.

Navigating Market Dynamics:

"The Arc" blueprint outlines a multifaceted approach encompassing a diverse product offensive, heightened electrification efforts, innovative engineering and manufacturing methodologies, the integration technologies, and strategic collaborations to expand global unit sales while enhancing financial performance.

The business plan is structured as a bridge between Nissan's preceding business transformation initiative, "Nissan NEXT," spanning fiscal years 2020 to 2023, and the visionary "Nissan Ambition 2030." It delineates midterm imperatives for fiscal years 2024 through 2026, alongside mid-to-long-term actions extending through 2030.

Key components of "The Arc" entail a concerted focus on amplifying volume growth through a region-specific strategy, accelerating the transition to electric vehicles (EVs), fostering strategic partnerships, and cultivating a culture of innovation.

Central to the plan is the diversification and expansion of Nissan's product portfolio. The company pledges to introduce 30 new models over the next three years, with electrified variants accounting for 16 of these releases. By fiscal year 2030, Nissan envisages electrified vehicles comprising 60% of its global lineup.

Moreover, Nissan is committed to tailoring its approach to regional markets to ensure sustained growth and relevance. From ramping up sales in the Americas to spearheading electrification initiatives in China, the plan underscores a nuanced, market-specific approach tailored to each region's unique dynamics.

Furthermore, Nissan is poised to integrate technologies, such as next-generation ProPILOT driver-assistance systems and advanced battery technologies, to cater to evolving customer needs and preferences.

Strategic Partnerships:

Strategic partnerships will also play a pivotal role in Nissan's quest for global leadership. Leveraging alliances with Renault and Mitsubishi Motors, alongside exploring new collaborations in key markets, Nissan seeks to harness collective strengths to drive innovation and expand its global footprint.
