The Jeep Wrangler is possibly one of the most recognisable automobiles in the world with its basic design language staying almost unchanged since the Willys Jeep of early 1940's.

The new Wrangler comes with a legendary Jeep 4x4 capability, boasting a modern design that stays true to the original design. It includes features like advanced fuel-efficient powertrains, more open-air options and is loaded with safety features and advanced technology.

Unmatched capability with command-trac and rock-trac 4x4 systems, the new Jeep will boast next-generation Dana axles, new Selec-Trac full-time two-speed transfer case, Tru-Lock electric front- and rear-axle lockers, Trac-Lok limited-slip differential and 33-inch off-road tires.

Other specifications of the new Wrangler include industry-leading ground clearance and approach, breakover and departure angles; unmatched crawl ratios; up to 30 inches of water fording; and a modern design that stays true to the original.

Further, it will also display fourth-generation Uconnect system that includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the choice of 5.0, 7.0- or 8.4-inch touchscreens with pinch-and-zoom capability.

“Jeep has always represented the ultimate in capability and open-air freedom, and our all-new 2018 Wrangler protects that important legacy and takes it into the future,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global.

“The all-new Wrangler is instantly recognizable as a Jeep, staying true to the original, yet it is better in every way – delivering even more rugged capability, more ride comfort, more fuel efficiency courtesy of several advanced powertrain options, more interior comfort, more safety and more technology,” Mike Manley added.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler 2-door model will be available in three different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S and Rubicon. Wrangler 4-door models would be available in four different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon.

Built in Toledo, Ohio, the all-new 2018 Wrangler arrives in Jeep showrooms in January.

Built on more than 75 years of legendary heritage, Jeep is the authentic SUV with class-leading capability, craftsmanship and versatility for people who seek extraordinary journeys.

The Jeep vehicle lineup consists of the Cherokee, Compass, Grand Cherokee, Renegade and Wrangler. To meet consumer demand around the world, all Jeep models sold outside North America are available in both left and right-hand drive configurations and with gasoline and diesel powertrain options.
