Morris Garages in a statement confirmed the development, saying, "Underlining its strong commitment to catalyzing the EV revolution, MG is set to unveil its first pure internet electric SUV in India – MG ZS EV on December 5."

"MG aims to contribute towards a better tomorrow for all, by providing environment-friendly mobility solutions.  As part of its commitment towards sustainable mobility, MG has tied up with various partners such as Fortum, Delta and eChargebay to build the charging infrastructure in India. The ZS EV is built to global standards to usher in a clean and green future," the statement added.

Recently, in a move that underscores its commitment towards sustainability, MG (Morris Garages) Motor has announced its association with Umicore to explore opportunities in safe and sustainable recycling of end-of-life batteries for electric vehicles.

Earlier, MG (Morris Garages) Motor India had announced its partnership with Exicom Tele-Systems for second-life use of ZS EV batteries to design custom battery packs for non-automotive applications.

The association, which comes ahead of the imminent launch of MG ZS EV in India, marks yet another initiative taken by the carmaker to facilitate EV adoption and catalyse India’s EV revolution.

MG Motor India has also launched #ChangeWhatYouCan, a global campaign featuring Benedict Cumberbatch that raises awareness about the critical need to shift towards green mobility.
